The nervous bride

The 'Stealth Photographer' is at it again.

Once again while waiting for my couple to show up at the beautiful San Francisco City Hall for their wedding, I noticed a nervous bride peeping over the ornate railing looking down over the main staircase....as my camera is always ready, a quick focus, one click and she's now added to my library of stealth shots inside the City Hall...

Mother Nature brings her 'A' game to the Bay Area

I've always been fascinated by clouds and how they can impact any landscape.
The San Francisco Bay Area is often absent of clouds, it's either a low fog or bright blue skies, with not much in between.
So anytime coulds enter the area, I'm hungry for a photo oppourtunity.
This evening was one of those rare times the sky, the low light about 10 minutes before sunset and the natural beauty mother nature provides....well it helped everything come together.
This is a 10 image Pano taken with my Sony A9, I didn't have a wide angle lens with me only a 24-70mm...but a Pano work for me and the stitching software in Photoshop handles the heavy lifting of blending it all together.
Please enjoy stunning the view I had on my way home

The stealth photographer strikes again

I’ve spent many an hour working inside the beautiful San Francisco City Hall, it’s rare the light won’t provide a few magical moments. Today I was between shoots with clients, awaiting my next Bride and Groom to show for their ’City Hall Wedding’……I had an hour to kill and I stumbled upon a young Hispanic girl having her photos taken to celebrate her Quinceanera (Her 15th Birthday), it’s a huge celebration marking her passage from girlhood to womanhood.
Off to the camera left was her photographer filling around with his camera and lighting set up. I simply couldn’t resit the chance to take this photograph of here standing waiting to move into her next pose.
As usual the light inside the City hall brought its ‘A’ game to the scene.

Just as the fog parts

There are probably many millions of photos already taken and published of the iconic skyline that is San Francisco and I’ve more than filled up two hard drives with that as a subject. But today I was on the other side of the Bay in Tiburon, looking back at the city…I’d been parked in my car answering a few text messages and emails before hitting the road back home, when I looked up and caught the fog making an opening revealing the city’s skyline and part of the water tower on Alcatraz…luckily I had my big boy camera with a
24-70mm lens, sadly not a long lens, but heck you’ve got to make the best with what you’ve got, right?

Legion of Honor in the Rain

Most people stay inside when it rains, not me, I’m out the door with my camera. I took this opportunity to head over to the Legion of Honor in San Francisco. It’s always been one of my go to locations for stunning lighting, it’s so beautiful to take photos inside the courtyard. There’s no doubt the rain adds to the drama.

There is a stunning copy of Auguste Rodin’s The Thinker as it greets people inside the main gate…pure beauty.
